Shikhar Dhawan opens up about his failed marriage to Aesha Mukerji
For the unversed, Dhawan and Aesha have not been together for a while now. The southpaw opened up about his separation from his wife and accepted that he failed in his marriage but does not want to point fingers at anyone.
“I failed because the final decision is the person’s own, and I don’t point fingers at others. I failed because I was not aware of that field. The things I talk about cricket today, I wouldn’t have been aware of the same 20 years back. It comes with experience,” said Dhawan.
“Right now my divorce case is going on. Tomorrow, if I want to marry again, I will be much more wiser in that field. I’ll know what kind of girl I need; someone whom I can spend my life with. When I was 26-27, and I was continuously playing, I was not in any relationship. I used to have fun, but was never in a relationship,” said the southpaw.
IPL 2023: Dhawan in form ahead of PBKS vs GT
While it is not still clear who Dhawan is dating, one thing is certain the opening batter is in a happy space, and it has reflected in his performances so far for PBKS in IPL 2023 season. The southpaw has scored 225 runs in three games and is the current holder of the orange cap. The PBKS skipper played one of the best innings in T20 cricket when he slammed an unbeaten 99 off just 56 balls and singlehandedly took PBKS to 143.
PBKS are currently placed sixth on the points table, winning two games from three matches. They will now take on Gujarat Titans on April 13.
