Paulo Costa has only participated in one UFC fight. His MMA record, though, reads a staggering 14 wins and just one defeat. He only suffered defeat once, at Brave CF 23, to Costa’s fiercest foe Khamzat Chimaev. At this time, Roman Dolidze will replace Costa and take on Aliskerov. ‘Borrachinha’ initially gave no explanation for his decision to forego the approaching showdown.

Paulo Costa has just dropped off the UFC roster, according to a recent update provided on Twitter by a fake “UFC Roster Watch” account. The rumour of Costa dropping off UFC surfaced shortly after Costa announced his intention to not compete against Ikram Aliskerov. These assertions regarding Paulo Costa’s release, however, are untrue. Costa is still under contract with the UFC.

Later, Paulo Costa himself made hints on social media that he was getting ready for a crucial battle against the unbeaten UFC fighter Chimaev in Abu Dhabi in October. Costa’s antics have nevertheless enraged the supporters because ‘Borrachinha’ has previously done this. At UFC 284, Costa pulled from his matchup with Robert Whittaker. “The Reaper” himself appeared to attest to its veracity. He has now backed out of a battle once more without offering a plausible excuse. The incensed spectators demand Costa’s dismissal from the UFC.
