Given his calibre, there are quite a few teams who were interested in him and one among them was Manchester City. Many City fans were excited at this prospect while Premier League pundit Jamie Redknapp even claimed “It would be an incredible move. On a free transfer, he’d have a point to prove because he’s taken a lot of stick at United.”

However, none of it matters currently since according to a report by The Athletic, Pogba has already rejected advancements from Manchester City and is looking for opportunities outside England. He is likely to get three such opportunities in the recent weeks, as Spain’s Real Madrid, France’s Paris Saint-Germain and Italy’s Juventus are all interested in signing him on a free transfer.
Meanwhile, Pogba was signed by Manchester United back in 2016 for a free of £89.3 million, which was the highest transfer amount paid by an English club at that time. However, he has not lived up to the expectations and has been on the receiving end of some very harsh criticism. A move away from Premier League might hence help him find his rhythm back.
