Since the T20 WC heartbreak, Men in Green have been in terrific form. They completed a 3-0 sweep in the T20I series and a 2-0 sweep in the Test series against Bangladesh in their own backyard. Coming back home, they scripted history with 18 T20I wins in a calendar year.

Babar Azam’s form since T20 WC 2021:
In the T20Is series against Bangladesh, the Pakistan skipper scored 27 runs at an average of 9.00. In the two games played against West Indies, he has struck 0 & 7 respectively and will be itching to go big in the 3rd and final game T20I against West Indies.
Though the skipper has been off-colour, it hasn’t impacted the performance of the team. The likes of M Rizwan, Haider Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Shadab Khan have chipped in with game-changing performances from time to time.
However, the Men in Green are likely to give chances to some of the fringe players. Shahnawaz Dahani is the first name that can get on the list of Thursday’s playing XI.
Pakistan XI (possible):
Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Babar Azam (c), Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, Asif Ali/Khushdil Shah, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Haris Rauf/ Shahnawaz Dahani, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Shaheen Afridi/M Hasnain

On the other hand, the visitors West Indies looked much improved in the second game. They bowled in the right areas and managed to restrict the host to an achievable total. In the batting, too they were right on the money before Shaheen Shah Afridi’s one over completely changed the dynamics.
They still need to fill in a couple of spots especially in the batting order. They clearly missed a finisher in the 2nd game. The middle-order has looked fragile in both games and the skipper Nicholas Pooran, too needs to take some more responsibilities.
Three players: wicketkeeper/batsman Shai Hope, left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein, and allrounder Justin Greaves have tested positive ahead of the game and won’t be available
West Indies XI (possible):
Brandon King, Nicholas Pooran (c & wk), Shamarh Brooks, Rovman Powell, Odean Smith, Romario Shepherd, Darren Bravo, Dominic Drakes, Hayden Walsh, Oshane Thomas, Gudakesh Motie
