PAK vs ENG Highlights: Anderson & Robinson seal THRILLING 74-run win against Pakistan, England win in Pakistan after 22 years: Watch Highlights

James Anderson is mobbed after taking two in three balls, Pakistan vs England, 1st Test, Rawalpindi, 5th day, December 5, 2022

However, the loss has surely dented Pakistan’s hopes of the World Test Championship Final hopes. Pakistan remained at 5th spot with 46.67 points. England who are already out of WTC Finals race, remain at 7th with 41.67 points.

After England’s bold declaration at Tea on Day 4 on 264/7, Pakistan did not get a good start. They lost Abdullah Shafique and Babar Azam on Day 4. Azhar Ali also retired hurt. Imam Ul Haq and Shaud Shakeel added 64 runs to steady the ship.

While James Anderson dismissed Imam on Day 5, Shafique kept Pakistan in the hunt with an 87-runs stand with Saud Shakeel. But Ollie Robinson broke the stand with Shakeel’s wicket. Although there was a fightback from Agha Salman and Azhar Ali of 61-run stand, once they departed, it was only a formality.

However, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Ali fought valiantly to save the test. They survived nearly 10 overs and 50 minutes. But Jack Leach dismissed Naseem Shah to hand England a famous victory.
