PAK vs ENG: Pakistan cricketer Haider Ali has npw been discharged from the hospital late on Saturday. The hard-hitting batsman was rushed for medical attention after Pakistan vs England 6th T20 match in Lahore on Friday. This comes days after Pakistan speedster Naseem Shah was taken to the hospital due to a viral infection, which was later confirmed as a positive case of COVID-19. The national cricket governing body added that Haider was taken back to the hotel from the hospital after his medical examination. “He [Haider Ali] is now feeling better and has reached the team hotel,” said the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Haider Ali scored 18 runs off of 14 balls in the 6th T20I vs England. The middle-order batter was replaced after feeling lightheaded in the changing room. Pakistan ultimately suffered a T20 defeat.
“Haider Ali is feeling unwell. He has a viral illness and is being taken to the hospital for further check-ups. He will stay overnight in the hospital,” said the PCB in a statement.

The second player who has apparently become ill is Haider. On September 29, the PCB reported that Naseem Shah had a COVID-19 infection just hours after the board had confirmed that he had a pneumonia diagnosis.
The key fast bowler for the Pakistani team was hospitalised on September 28. After being released from the hospital, he subsequently joined the national team at a nearby hotel.

It levels the series 3-3 and effectively turns Sunday’s encounter into a final. The two teams will then depart Down Under to finalise their preparations for the all-important ICC Men’s T20 World Cup – which commences on 16 October.
