Naseem Shah ruled out of the third Third Test match

In another setback to the home-side, Pakistan will be without the services of their express pacer Naseem Shah. The right-arm seamer has been ruled out of the third Test due to a niggling shoulder problem. Shah took five wickets in the first match of the series, which England won by 74 runs, but he was absent in the second game, which the touring side won by 26 runs to seal a 2-0 series victory. “The team management has not requested for his replacement at this stage,” the PCB said in a statement.

Pakistan have been grappled with injuries in the ongoing series

The team has been jolted by injuries to its fast bowlers, with spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi ruled out before the start of the series with a knee injury. Haris Rauf was also ruled out of the last two Tests with a quadriceps injury suffered during the first match. England are on their first Test tour of Pakistan since 2005.
