The Men in Green had a dream start to their campaign with an overwhelming 10 wickets win over arch-rivals India & have been ruthless in the tournament securing convincing wins over New Zealand, Afghanistan, Namibia, and Scotland. Against them in the knockout will be the Aussies who are aiming for their maiden trophy in the shortest format of the game. Both teams will square off at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai on Thursday evening vying for the spot in the finals.

They have kept a clean slate in the ongoing edition with 5 wins in 5 games and have all that makes a perfect winning team.

Openers: The Men in Green have one of the best opening pairs at present in the likes of M Rizwan and B Azam. While M Rizwan has scored the most T20 runs in a calendar year, the No.1 ranked Babar Azam stroked his fourth half-century of the tournament against Scotland in the previous outing.

Finishers: Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik hit Pakistan’s fastest T20 World Cup half-century off 18 balls against Scotland. A couple of days ago, Asif Ali did Carlos Braithwaite – slamming four sixes in the 19th over against Afghanistan to guide Pakistan home in a tricky run-chase.

Bowlers: With Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, and the spin duo of Imad Wasim & Shadab Khan – Pakistan have a formidable bowling attack. The pace attack comprising of S Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Hasan Ali have picked up 19 wickets together while the spin duo has chipped in with 9 wickets in five encounters so far.
