PAK vs AUS ICC Knockouts record: How Pakistan, Australia have fared in ICC tournaments ahead of semi-final clash
Pakistan and Australia have met previously during various ICC tournament knockout games in the past, with both being among the first full members of ICC. The two teams have met four times previously in knockout games, with Australia boasting of a stellar record, winning on all four instances.
Incidentally, the two teams have met in the semi-final stage of the T20 World Cup a decade earlier when the tournament was held in the Caribbean. Pakistan then defending champions had posted a tall order posting 191 on the board, and looked set for victory, before Michael Hussey pulled off a magical innings, slamming 24 off Saeed Ajmal’s over to seal the deal in Australia’s favour. It remains Australia’s only finals appearance in the competition, where they lost to England.
