The Indian duo were drawn in Group C of group stage draw. The special draw was held at Badminton World Federation (BWF) headquarters. Satwik-Chirag are enjoying a good form off later and are currently ranked third in the World. The ace Indian shuttlers have a fine chance of progressing to the knockouts.
Satwik-Chirag have been drawn in a rather easy group. The only top 10 ranked shuttlers in the same group are Alfian-Ardianto who are ranked 6th. The others include Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto from Indonesia. The German pair of Mark Lamsfuss and Marvin Seidel and French pair of Lucas Corvee and Ronan Labar complete the group.
Satwik-Chirag, the two time Commonwealth Games winners enjoy a comfortable head to head record against the Indonesian pair and will look continue their fine form in Paris. Adding more advantage for the Indian duo is – Satwik-Chirag too has an unbeaten record against their German and French counterparts.
