India’s total gold medals in Olympics

Neeraj Chopra, an Indian javelin thrower, is the most recent athlete to achieve success at this level. India has won eight team gold medals and ten individual gold medals at the Olympics. In shooting and athletics, there have been only two gold medal winners at the Summer Games.

India’s total silver medals in Olympics

Nine Indian athletes have clinched silver medals on the global stage. Norman Pritchard was the first sportsman to win silver for India. In Tokyo, Team India claimed two silver medals, won by Mirabai Chanu and PV Sindhu.
