One of the biggest factors in the success of the men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, has been their Danish coach Mathias Boe. But the Olympic medalist himself, Boe might not continue after the Paris 2024 Olympics. As per a report in the Times of India, the legend may part ways with the Indian duo of Satwik Chirag, after his contract expires on August 15.
Back in November 2023, Boe was offered an extension in contract for 9.5 months, with a monthly salary of INR 7.7 lakh. But now his contract might not be renewed by the Sports Authority of India. Meanwhile, the reason isn’t clear, but a hefty salary and unreasonable demands has emerged as the potential reason for the move.

It was under Boe that Satwik/Chirag rose to World No. 1 ranking after taking the gold at the Asian Games 2023. Apart from that, during his tenure, the duo also won the Indonesia Open 1000, Thomas Cup, a BWF World Championships medal as well. Also they are in contention to finish at the podium at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
