Devon Conway 100 Highlights: Conway and Will Young stitched an 138-run second wicket stand to help New Zealand gain upper hand on Day 1 of the Bay Oval Test.

The hosts reached 147/2 at the Tea break.

Conway was aggressive of the two, sweeping and pulling Mehidy Hasan for a four and a six.

Young also brought out the sweep against Mehidy. Young and Conway also took New Zealand past the 100-run mark with the former cracking another of those sweeps off the off-spinner.

Conway prepared himself by playing practice match against Bangladesh: Conway could not play cricket for 7 weeks and prepared for the series by playing practice matches against the visiting team.

In the two-day practice match for the New Zealand XI against Bangladesh in Mount Maunganui, the 30-year-old left-hander suffered another minor setback on his playing comeback on Tuesday.

He was out for a second ball duck to Bangladeshi quick AJ Chowdhury after an edge to the slips in overcast conditions at Bay Oval.
