Normalcy RESUMES, Virat Kohli sweats Hard in GYM Preparing for forthcoming series

Virat Kohli is working harder than ever ahead of India's tour of the West Indies, warns the Windies bowlers, with the tour less than a month away.

Virat Kohli took to social media to showcase his preparations ahead of India’s tour of the West Indies. Kohli will look to improve his recent performances in Test cricket after yet another failure in the World Test Championship Final against Australia. Kohli, who was in his worst stage as a test cricketer, broke his three-year century slump against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy earlier in the year.

Amid scrutiny after his non-performance in yet another knockout match, the former captain has shown that he could care less about critics online and has continued his grind ahead of the month-long Windies tour.

Kohli posted two videos of himself doing some weight exercises and posted an image of himself in the gym. The right-handed batter captioned the post, ‘Look for excuses or look to get better’, showcasing that his preparations for the away tour are in full flow and we can expect the batter to return to form in a dominant fashion.

India’s Schedule and Virat Kohli’s Record in West Indies

India is set to play 2 Test matches, 3 ODIs, and 5 T20I games. The Test matches are set to commence on July 12 and end on July 24. Then there will be the ODI series that begins on July 27 and ends on August 1. And finally, the T20 series will begin on August 3 and end on August 13.

Virat doesn’t have a great Test record in the West Indies, making 463 runs at an average of 35.61 in nine Tests. However, the batter made his first of his seven test double hundreds in the West Indies back in 2016. In ODIs, the Delhi batter has an extraordinary average of 58.92 with four centuries to his name. Kohli has played just two T20s in the West Indies and has made just 52 runs at a strike rate of 113 in those matches.
