No words by BCCI on ticketing partner for World Cup, BookMyShow leading race

With the highly anticipated ODI World Cup 2023 in India just around the corner, there remains an air of uncertainty surrounding the official ticketing partner as neither the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) nor the International Cricket Council (ICC) have officially disclosed this information. However, emerging reports suggest that the Indian cricket board is leaning towards entrusting the responsibility of ticket distribution to BookMyShow.

As cricket enthusiasts eagerly await the tournament’s commencement in less than two months, the potential collaboration with the renowned online platform adds a layer of anticipation to the ticketing process, promising a convenient and efficient means for fans to secure their seats for this global cricketing spectacle.

World Cup 2023 tickets on sale from August 25

The ICC and BCCI have jointly revealed that tickets for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 are set to be made available for purchase starting from August 25th. This announcement coincides with the release of the revised match schedule for the highly anticipated Cricket World Cup 2023. Tickets for the India vs Pakistan match will be on sale from September 3 while those for semi-finals and final will be sold from September 15.

Prior to the commencement of ticket sales, cricket enthusiasts will have the chance to express their interest by registering via the link provided at https://www.cricketworldcup.com/register, beginning on August 15th. This early registration opportunity aims to provide fans with exclusive ticket updates and the chance to secure their presence at the World Cup 2023, ensuring they can partake in the exhilaration of this cricketing extravaganza.

August 30: India’s warm-up matches at Guwahati and Trivandrum

August 31: India matches at Chennai (against Australia), Delhi (against Afghanistan) and Pune (against Bangladesh)

September 1: India matches at Dharamsala (against New Zealand), Lucknow (against England) and Mumbai (against Sri Lanka)

September 2: India matches at Bengaluru (against the Netherlands) and Kolkata (against South Africa)

September 3: India matches at Ahmedabad (against Pakistan)

September 15: Semi-finals (at Mumbai and Kolkata) and Final (at Ahmedabad)
