No Trekking! Management bans Indian Cricket Team from trekking in Dharamshala

Indian Team Management issues stern waring to team, No trekking for players at Dharamshala

After clinching 5 wins on a trot in the ICC World Cup, the Indian Cricket Team gets a much-needed break before they play against England. As a result, the players have been given a 2-day break. However, the Team management has informed the players that trekking is banned. The players can go out for sightseeing in the picturesque town of Dharamshala.

After scripting a memorable win against New Zealand at Dharamshala, India’s next match is on 29th October in Lucknow. With 7-day gap between both matches, the team management has decided to give a 2-day resting period to the players before the camp travels to Lucknow to begin their preparation against the Three Lions.

The team is expected to travel to Lucknow on 25th October. In the meantime, the players have been given the chance to enjoy the scenic beauty of the town located in the hills.

“The team management has informed players that they can’t go trekking, they can go out but can’t do trekking. At the same time during the series no Indian player can even do paragliding as it can go against the player contract,” a BCCI official told Indian Express.

But the Team management has issued a stern warning to all the players. Dharamshala is a hot spot for fans and tourists who engage in trekking. The players too were excited and wanted to trekk. However, the management has strictly banned any player from trekking, especially during the World Cup.

With a big tournament going on, the board and management are unwilling to take the slightest risk for any player to get injured. It is also believed that the security of the players is also a big factor for no trekking
