The Irishman is expected to make his comeback against Michael Chandler after a hiatus of more than two years since breaking his ankle against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.

Meanwhile, McGregor has already shot the TUF 31 season as a coach against Team Michael Chandler. His much-awaited comeback is now valid but looks likely to happen in 2024 despite the Irishman teasing a return this year.

Dana White recently connected with Mike Tyson on HotBoxin podcast and addressed several things surrounding the fight game. Meanwhile, White clarified his remaining plans for 2023 without mentioning Conor McGregor even once.

He said, “I am going to Nashville this weekend, we got a fight in Nashville this weekend. I got Power Slap next weekend live and free on Rumble. And then the week after that, we are in Boston for the title fight (UFC 292). So, August is going to be fun. The end of the year.”

The UFC President added, “October, we are in Abu Dhabi. We are going back to Paris for another fight. We are going back to Madison Square Garden with Jon Jones and Stipe. The end of the year is going to be fun.”

Conor McGregor is still the biggest and most popular athlete in the sport of MMA. That said, he hasn’t won a sight since beating Donald Cerrone via KO at UFC 246. It remains to be seen whether he still possesses the same abilities or lacks his former qualities at this point.
