Untold is more of a middle-class to-obscene-wealth kind of tale than a poverty-to-riches one. As it depicts Jake Paul as a misunderstood and sympathetic character attempting to conquer his flaws and redeem himself via boxing, the movie is self-serving and manipulative. The movie also makes an effort to explain away or justify some of his poor choices by placing the blame on his violent father or toxic environment.

Immediately after its release, the movie on Netflix seems to have been rejected by boxing fans. There were numerous comments posted on Jake Pauls’s Twitter post, some read “No one gonna be watching this”.

The internet star has become embroiled in a number of disputes. He was accused of defrauding his followers by offering a paid online course on his since-closed website Edfluence that gave less than it claimed.

Additionally, he has been accused of two different instances of sexual misconduct, both of which he denies. In addition, Paul was fined $400,000 for advocating cryptocurrencies without disclosing that he was being paid to do so.

These may have been the reasons for the fans to react in such a manner to reject the movie soon after its release on the internet.
