This means that Nikita Mazepin, the Russian driver for Haas may not participate in the Australian Grand Prix. Meanwhile, the UK motorsport governing body did exclude Russian competitors from their ban. They have allowed them to race under the FIA flag in a neutral capacity.

Meanwhile, a decision is yet to be made on this matter. A spokesperson said, “The matter is under review in consultation with federal authorities and the Australian Grand Prix Corporation.”

Even the Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison didn’t hold back and voiced his opinions. He spoke against the Russian Grand Prix. Scott said, “All international sporting events in Russia should have their authorizations withdrawn from all international sporting bodies. This includes the F1 Grand Prix in Sochi.”

Even the Russian Grand Prix has been canceled from this year’s F1 calendar. It is still unclear whether Nikita would be allowed to race on 10th April in the Australian GP. However, his future is also uncertain with team Haas.

Haas had also removed Uralkali from their livery on the third day of the pre-season testing in Barcelona. They drove with a plain white car on the third day of the pre-season testing at Barcelona.

The owner of Uralkali is Nikita’s dad, Dmitry Mazepin. Dmitry Mazepin is said to be a close associate of President Vladimir Putin. One of the President’s allies, Sergei Chemezov, has been a chairman within the company for several years.

Haas were the only team who were unable to score even a single point in the last year’s campaign. The second pre-season testing will take place in Bahrain from 10th to 12th March. Meanwhile, the season kicks off in Bahrain as the first race of the season is on 20th March.
