Neymar TRANSFER: The relationship between Neymar and PSG is getting more sour by the second. It is now almost confirmed that the Brazilian will be leaving the club this transfer window. It’s still not sure which club he will join but several Premier League clubs have shown interest in the forward. Clubs like Newcastle United, Manchester United, and Chelsea have shown interest. However, Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has now gotten in touch with the player. Follow Premier League LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN.

Neymar and Pep Guardiola did not have the chance to work together at Barcelona. Neymar joined Barcelona in 2013 and the same year, Guardiola joined Bayern Munich after leaving Barcelona a year ago. However, the two still have had a good relationship. In this indecisive and rough time of Neymar’s career, Pep Guardiola has apparently called the Brazilian forward to enquire about his injury recovery and his intentions for this summer transfer window. There is no confirmation that the coach invited Neymar to come to Manchester.

It seems unlikely that Guardiola will approach Neymar with an offer. Manchester City currently has one of the strongest first teams and most incredible bench strength. Guardiola also has a good system in place which has helped him win the Premier League title this year again. With this they have now won the title 5 times in the span of 6 years. That is not the end for Man City this season as they are still chasing two more trophies. They are in the finals of the Champions League and the FA Cup.

Man City will be facing Man United in the FA Cup final. Whereas, they will be facing Inter Milan in the Champions League final. Inter are chasing a double of their own after winning the Coppa Italia a few days ago. However, Man City are carrying the odds in their favour in both finals. Erling Haaland has been an absolute beast in their attacking front. However, they still have talents, like Julian Alvarez, and Riyad Mahrez who can be just as deadly when needed.

With such a set team, it’s hard to imagine that Guardiola will call Neymar to join Manchester City. However, there was news a few weeks ago from French media that Man City were looking for a swap deal with PSG for Bernardo Silva. It did not specify which PSG player was to be swapped, but it will be surprising if that turns out to be Neymar. Neymar is having a hard time at PSG. With the news of Leo Messi leaving the club, rumours of Neymar also leaving began.

He has been out with a season-ending ankle issue for quite some time. Additionally, as PSG lifted the Ligue 1 trophy a few days ago, Neymar was spotted at Monaco at the Formula 1 Grand Prix on Sunday. The PSG officials were not happy with the player’s actions. In the meantime, Man United coach Erik Ten Hag did not rule out a possible move when Neymar’s Brazil teammate Casemiro pushed for his transfer. Whereas, both Chelsea and Newcastle United are also in the race to bring him to England.
