PSG forward Neymar opens up on his club’s failure in the Champions League. The French club is doing great in the domestic league but they failed to win any European trophy despite having the trio Messi, Neymar and Mbappe, popularly called ‘MNM’, in the side.
PSG invested lot of money to bring top-class players to win the most prestigious trophy in Europe. They came close to the title glory when they made it into the final of the Champions League in 2020 but Bayern Munich ended their hopes by winning it.

Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe build the strongest attack in the world. The trio still failed to deliver European glory to PSG. The Ligue 1 champions were knocked out in the round of 16 in the last two seasons with this lethal attack. They lost to Real Madrid in 2022 and Bayern Munich in 2023.
After having regular heartbreaks in Europe, fans were also not happy. We saw how they booed Messi and Neymar in the stadium. Finally, Neymar speaks on the struggle in the Champions League.
The former Barcelona star talked to YouTuber Casimiro Miguel in an interview and said, “We had a very strong team. Messi, Mbappé and I are three guys who are the best in the world. We knew it, but unfortunately we didn’t fit in. It wasn’t good for us.”
The Brazilian admits he wanted to win the trophy in Europe but “football is sometimes not the right thing, the fair thing”.
Messi has left the club as free agent and moved to Inter Miami. Kylian Mbappe is keen to leave the club and he is linked with Real Madrid. Neymar’s contract will expire in 2027 but he is unlikely to stay with PSG. The Brazilian is linked with Premier League and Saudi Pro League clubs.
Despite all these transfer links, Neymar wants to play one more season in Paris. He insisted that he wants to play well after recovering from the injury. The Brazilian is out from football action due to an ankle injury. He has now recovered and will be seen in action soon.
He added, “I have a contract. Until now nobody has informed me otherwise. I want to recover well. Winning is always my goal, but I want to play well again, that’s the first thing.”
Neymar has started training and might be seen in the PSG outfit for the club-friendly game against Le Havre on Friday.
