The imposter was dressed in Neymar’s training uniform, sunglasses, and cap. It was tough to tell he wasn’t the footballer in his outfit and beard. Oliveira was eventually escorted away by village security because he drew everyone’s attention, including the Brazilian players on the field. He has identical tattoos as Neymar and is usually seen travelling with a member of the Brazilian soccer federation’s staff. Playing Neymar has become more of a chore for Oliveira.

When Oliveira visited Doha and gained a significant following, a Puma store in the city was forced to close temporarily. He had to be taken to the back of the business until everything calmed down. When the doppelganger visited one of Brazil’s World Cup games, hordes of people crowded up to him to get a signature and a picture.
Playing Neymar has become a job for Oliveira. He has impersonated the sportsman while travelling around the world, including France, where Neymar plays for Paris Saint-Germain. He is compensated for his appearances and for doubling in advertising for the athlete. He claims to have met Neymar multiple times while filming advertisements, and the athlete was fine with him portraying his lookalike.
