2024 is going to be a mighty important year for Indian athletics as many of the athletes will stand a chance to book the Paris 2024 Olympics berth. Keeping this in mind, the Athletics Federation of India announced the tentative schedule for the upcoming season next year. The hectic schedule will start with the National Inter District Junior Athletic Meet in Gujarat on January 19. Meanwhile, Indian javelin star Neeraj Chopra could only be seen in action in March, at the Indian Open Throws.

If not at the Open Throws competition in India, Neeraj Chopra might play at the Indian Grand Prix 1, which starts in April 2024. One of the reasons why Neeraj might not take part in a lot of competitions next year is, he might want to preserve himself for the Olympics, having already qualified for Paris 2024.
