NBA Schedule 2021-22: How will the players suffer from the new format?
This tentative schedule almost certainly omits a number of players from thinking about going to Tokyo for the postponed 2020 Olympics. The Tokyo Olympics are set to begin on the 23rd of July, 2021.
This creates lots of problems for the players who want to represent their countries at the biggest stage. The players will be in a dilemma because they have to fulfill their NBA contract responsibilities as well.
We are in the 2nd Round of the NBA Playoffs already. While it is not certain which series would require 7 games to finish, fatigue would be a huge factor as the players will prepare for the Olympics straight after their NBA duties.

NBA Schedule 2021-22: Lakers stars out for the Olympics
Anthony Davis and LeBron James had an injury-plagued season and hence would be resting through the offseason. They will not be available for the Olympics.
Stephen Curry, who played down the stretch with a hairline fracture in his tailbone from a March 17 fall onto a bleacher step at Houston, had exit interviews with Myers and Kerr and they said he’s still pondering whether to play in the Tokyo Olympics.
