Reports claim that an Algerian lobbyist of the name Tayeb Benabderrahmane was kidnapped and then tortured by the PSG president in Qatar. The kidnapping, torture, and confinement of the victim were carried out over a period of 6 months. It has been understood that the kidnapping took place after Tayeb got his hands on some sensitive documents.

Tayeb Benabderrahmane who settled in Qatar was detained in early 2020. Following his kidnapping and torture, the victim was placed under house arrest. As per the claims of the victim, he was allowed to leave in November 2020. However, not before signing a Non-confidentiality disclosure agreement about the sensitive documents that were in his possession.

Reports from France further claim that these documents were pertaining to hosting rights that were awarded to Qatar for the FIFA 2022 World Cup. Other documents included the TV rights from 2026 to 2030 that have been given to BeIN Media. The Media house which is based out of Qatar is also headed by the PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

“We are very happy that the real file of this story is finally investigated by the French justice,” Mr. Benabderrahmane’s lawyers, Maitres Romain Ruiz and Gabriel Vejnar, told AFP.

“You are talking about professional criminals. They’ve changed their lawyers more times than they’ve changed their stories and their lies,” Al-Khelaifi told The Sun.

“It is the ultimate media manipulation. I’m just amazed so many people have taken their lies and contradictions as credible – but that’s the media world we’re in today. Justice will run its course – I don’t have time to talk about petty professional criminals,” he concluded.

The news comes as a piece of a shocker after PSG defender Archaf Hakimi was accused of sexually assaulting and raping a young women yesterday.
