As per the recent report, Naomi is expected to return to WWE despite Banks cutting her ties with the company. After the change in regime, this is the first positive report regarding Naomi’s wrestling status.

Recently, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio gave an update on the former SmackDown Women’s Champion’s WWE status assuming she would return under Triple H’s regime. He mentioned it is likely that she will return.
“They’re not going to New Japan, Naomi, and Bayley. Of course, there is no official information on Naomi, but my impression is she will be returning. Actually, you can report that my belief is that she will be returning because she will certainly be returning to WWE. I will just say that. Other than that, I don’t know what is going on,” said Meltzer. [H/T RingsideNews]
Currently, Naomi and Bayley are in Japan to support their best friend Sasha Banks who will make an appearance at NPJW’s Wrestle Kingdom 17. A few weeks back, NPJW announced The Boss for the show, however, there is no update on what is her role at Wrestle Kingdom 17.

Last week, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion became a free agent after her WWE contract expired. Meanwhile, reports stated WWE and Sasha Banks tried to settle the matters but they didn’t come to conclusion due to Banks asking for a big increase in her paycheque. It was noted that she asked for a contract similar to that of current Raw Superstar Becky Lynch.
