Young Indian speedster Mukesh Kumar’s dream came true as he made his Test debut for India against the West Indies. Playing his first Test for India at Port of Spain in Trinidad, Mukesh Kumar made an impressive start to his career.
Mukesh Kumar picked up his maiden Test wicket, dismissing Kirk Mckenzie to give India an advantage. Having bowled 14 overs, Mukesh Kumar looks like he is a fine fit for the side’s squad in the longer format of the game.
Mukesh Kumar has been earning praise from both his team members and ex-Indian cricketers. Dinesh Karthik is one among them, who deems Mukesh Kumar’s debut as a sucess for domestic cricket.

Mukesh Kumar’s debut a success for domestic cricket: Karthik
Speaking to Cricbuzz, Indian wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik lavished praise on Mukesh Kumar. Calling Mukesh Kumar’s debut as a lovely story, Karthik opined that it was a great success for domestic cricket, especially since the pacer came from a humble background.
“Mukesh Kumar. What a lovely story. Coming from a very humble background, a great success story for domestic cricket. You can ask anyone in the domestic circuit, they will tell you that Mukesh Kumar is born for Test cricket,” Dinesh Karthik told Cricbuzz.

Speaking about how domestic cricket helped Mukesh Kumar, Dinesh Karthik said that the pacer was a handful to deal with who can bowl long overs even if there was a little bit in the wicket. Karthik added that domestic cricket had helped the pacer and it was evident as there was not much from the pitch and yet Mukesh Kumar performed well.
“Bowling those long overs, he is somebody if there is a little bit in the wicket, you can ask anyone who has played domestic cricket, he is a handful to deal with. On this pitch, even though there was not much, you can see how domestic cricket has helped him,” Karthik added.

IND vs WI 2nd Test
On the final day of the India vs West Indies 2nd Test, the fate of the series hangs in the balance, with the hosts seeking revenge for their earlier defeat in the first Test and Rohit Sharma’s team aiming for a clean sweep. Day 4 was affected by rain, but it didn’t deter the Indian batters, who came out aggressively as soon as the Windies’ innings ended.
