Earlier, Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan’s decision to bowl first proved to be a wrong one as Fakhar Zaman’s 35-ball 76 blew away Multan’s bowling. Shaheen Afridi-led side posted 206/5 with Kamran Ghulam and 43 besides late cameos from Rashid Khan and David Wiese.

But the chase was as easy as it could get. Skipper Afridi wasn’t effective in his first spell and neither was any other bowlers. In the 207 chase, Mohd Rizwan and Shan Masood posted 150 for the opening wicket. There was a jitter with Afridi and Harish Rauf taking quick wickets to derail the chase. In the last over, Multan needed 16 but some poor bowling from Haris Rauf helped Khushdil Shah hammer three consecutive boundaries and a six to power Sumtans home.
