Most Premier League Goals: Haaland Goal RECORD – Erling Haaland has shown tremendous performances throughout this season for Manchester City. With that, he has started breaking records in his first season in Premier League as well. The star striker just hit his 50th goal of the season during Premier League Fulham vs Man City match. A player has achieved this feat in the English league after 92 years. Follow Premier League LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN.

As he hit the 50th goal of the season, Haaland has matched Premier League’s 92-year-old record with Tom Waring. With still, 8 or more matches left to play, he could be on his way to break Dixie Dean’s record of most goals in a single season by a Premier League player with 63 goals. If not, there is a huge chance that he could be breaking Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of 61 goals in a single season.

Premier League

Erling Haaland just hit the 34th goal in the Premier League against Fulham this season. Since he joined Manchester City at the start of this season from Borussia Dortmund, he has become a goal machine in the English league. As he just hit his 34th goal, he matched Alan Shearer and Andy Cole’s joint record of 34 Premier League goals in a single season. However, Haaland still has 6 league matches left to play.

If the coach starts the star player in the rest of the matches, he could take the goal tally much closer to 40 breaking more records. While accumulating the goals, he has already scored a total of four hattricks. The 22-year-old is also the top goalscorer across the top 5 European Leagues. He has outperformed and outscored Victor Osimhen from Serie A, Kylian Mbappe from Ligue 1, and Harry Kane from Premier League.

Champions League

Haaland has scored a total of 12 goals in the Champions League this season from 8 appearances. While this is a huge feat on its own, he has matched another record this season by scoring 5 goals in a single match. He made this record during Man City’s round of 16 match against RB Leipzig. There have only ever been two other players – Lionel Messi and Luiz Adriano to achieve this feat in the Champions League’s history.

The record for most goals in a single season is 17 goals which is held by Cristiano Ronaldo. Manchester City still have two legs of the semi-final against Real Madrid. If they manage to progress, then they will have another match on their hand. This means Haaland probably still has 3 Champions League on his hand. Hence, he could break Ronaldo’s record this season alone if he manages 6 goals in the remaining matches.

Others

Other than the 46 goals from the Premier League and the Champions League, Haaland has scored 3 more goals in the FA Cup and another goal in the EFL Cup. The 3 goals in the FA Cup have come from another hattrick against Burnley.
