With the ODI World Cup 2023 underway, fans want to know who the most successful players are in the tournament’s history. To no one’s shock, Sachin Tendulkar is at the top in terms of most ‘Man of the Match’ awards in the ODI World. However, another Mumbai batter also makes the list and is the only other Indian player on the list. That player is current Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma.

Rohit Sharma has overtaken all-time greats like Vivian Richards, Sanath Jayasuriya, Glenn McGrath, and Ab de Villiers.

The batter has climbed from the 9th spot to the 2nd in the space of eight matches. With a minimum of 2 matches to be played in the World Cup 2023, Rohit can pass Sachin Tendulkar as well.

His 71 wickets in 39 matches have seen him get six ‘Man of the Match’ awards. With three World Cups to his name, McGrath is heads and shoulders above all the other pacers.
