Coming to the tally of the most international goals, Sunil Chettri is third highest in the list of the active goal scorers. Only Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo (123) and Argentina’s Lionel Messi (109) are ahead of the Indian skipper.
It hasn’t been a easy job for the Sunil Chhetri to achieve this landmark. Surprisingly enough, Chhetri has a better goal scoring ratio (0.65) in comparison to Ronaldo and Messi. Just an year ago, in the AFC he matched the great Ferenc Puskas from Hungary. Now with an year being passed he has gone on to add 6 more goals and is now 4th highest overall goal scorer in International football.
