Most International Centuries: Virat Kohli inches closer to Sachin Tendulkar

Virat Kohli's 29th Test century steers him well ahead of Ricky Ponting, with only Sachin Tendulkar ahead.

Virat Kohli showcased his class with a stunning century on Day 2 of the IND vs WI 2nd Test. Having batted through a collapse on Day 1, Kohli notched up his 29th Test hundred at the Queen’s Park Oval on Friday. He took his overall century tally to 76, inching closer to Sachin Tendulkar for most centuries in international cricket.

Kohli also became the first player to score a hundred in his 500th international game. Among the players to have breached that milestone, no player has more hundreds than the former India captain. In his first 500 matches, Sachin had 75 centuries to his name. Ricky Ponting had 68.
