Mohd Hafeez retires: Mohd Hafeez bids adieu to international cricket- Former Pakistan captain Mohd Hafeez has reportedly announced his retirement from international cricket. He served Pakistan at the national level for 18 years since making his Pakistan debut in 2003. Also referred to as Thr Professor, Hafeez had already retired from Test cricket in 2018 but continued to feature in limited-overs. The announcement comes months ahead of the Australia Tour of Pakistan that kick starts in March.

- Hafeez is among Pakistan cricketers who have played in the inaugural edition of the IPL. He had represented Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) where he scored 64 runs and scalped a wicket in 8 matches.
- He has led the Pakistan cricket team in all formats of the game. He led Pakistan in 29 T20Is and guided them to wins on 17 occasions with a win percentage of 60+.
- He was part of the 2009 World Cup T20 squad with Pakistan under Younis Khan & holds the Pakistan record for most T20 World Cup appearances. He has featured in three ICC ODI world cups and six T20 world cups.
- He was also a member of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 winning team.
- He smashed 21 centuries and 64 half-centuries in international cricket. He has also amassed 12,000+ runs in First-Class matches with 26 tons and 56 fifties.
- The 41-year-old went on to represent Pakistan in 55 Tests, 218 ODIs and 115 T20Is amassing over 12,000+ runs and 253 wickets across formats.
