Mobile Legends Women’s Invitational that will take place in 2022: Mobile Legends Bang Bang has successfully conducted esports tournaments across the regions, especially in Southeast Asia. After the success of the ONE Esports Mobile Legends Invitational in November, and now the M3 World Championship 2021 in December, the MOONTON MLBB team is looking to expand its esports scene. They will collaborate with ONE Esports again and conduct the Mobile Legends Bang Bang Women’s Invitational in 2022.
Mobile Legends Women’s Invitational: Overview
There are already various female pro teams in the Mobile Legends Bang Bang esports circuit. According to the statement given by Lucas Mao, the Managing Director of Global Esports at MOONTON, this upcoming tournament will “celebrate female strength and empowerment”.

The tournament already has its own theme that is expressed with #InControl. Carlos Alimurung, the CEO of ONE Esports also supported this initiative by stating, “MWI (MLBB Women’s Invitational) was launched to celebrate inspirational female heroes and give them a platform to showcase their talents”. He also stressed that providing such opportunities to women will allow the esports community to grow and flourish.
Mobile Legends Women’s Invitational: Teams
There will be ten teams from seven countries participating in the MLBB Women’s Invitational. Here is a list of them.
- The Philippines – BREN Esports, OMEGA Esports
- Laos – IDNS Princess
- Thailand – IDNS Elsa
- Cambodia – Impunity Scarlet

Mobile Legends Women’s Invitational: Format and Starting Date
The MLBB Women’s Invitational will follow the same format as that of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup tournament. It will begin from 27th January 2022 and will have a total prize pool of $15,000 USD.
- The ten participating teams will be divided into two groups of five each.
- The allocation will be done randomly.
- Each team will be ranked in their Group according to their total accumulated points from their matches against each other.
- After the Group Stage ends, the top four teams will then advance into the Playoffs.
