Jorge Masvidal gives his opinion on Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz

Diaz’s former opponent, Jorge Masvidal, joined George Janko for an episode of his podcast. When asked about Paul vs Diaz, Masvidal praised Paul’s improvement. He also said Paul is the best of the influencers. Masvidal then added that this could be a great test and we will get to see where Jake Paul is really at.

The former BMF then added, “Nate has so much experience. But he’s also catching Nate on the way down, you know. So I think there’s a lot of plusses for Jake. But, Nate’s Nate. The deeper that fight goes, I mean… It’s going to be a fight.”

Therefore, Masvidal feels Jake Paul needs to get it done early if he wants to beat Nate Diaz. Masvidal then spoke about Nate’s knockout power and whether Paul could handle it. He said, “I didn’t think that Nate had power. But also, I know how Nate works. He’s just throwing like… He wants to get you through accumulation.”

So like most other experts, Masvidal believes Jake Paul can beat Nate Diaz if he doesn’t allow Diaz to settle. And he’s right in saying Nate Diaz is more dangerous the longer the fight goes on. We have seen Diaz almost finish Leon Edwards after losing every single round. Therefore, Paul will have to pressure him and get the win in the first half of the fight.

What do you make of Jorge Masvidal’s comments about Paul vs Diaz? Do you think Jake Paul can beat Diaz?
