Poirer faced McGregor three times in the UFC. The first was at featherweight before the two became global superstars. After their first fight, both had very different career paths. Despite this, they met again in the lightweight division. The most recent contest ended with McGregor breaking his leg in the fight.

How much has Poirier earned by beating Conor McGregor?

In the three fights between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor, the American is 2-1. Despite losing the first fight by a vicious knockout, Poirier knocked out McGregor in the second fight and won the third via doctor stoppage.

For the first fight between them, Dustin Poirier reportedly earned a total of $84,000. This included a $34,000 base pay and a $50,000 sponsorship share. This was back in 2014 and the two fought on the undercard of UFC 178.

The second contest between the two happened in 2021 at UFC 257. This time, Poirier earned $1,070,000. This included a $1 million base pay, a $50,000 performance bonus, and a $20,000 sponsorship share. It was only the second time that Poirier earned over a million dollars in the UFC.

And finally, the third fight happened later that year. For this fight, Poirier took home $5,121,000. This included his $1.5 million base pay, $3.6 million PPV share, and $21,000 sponsorship share. It was easily the biggest purse in his UFC Career. Therefore, between all three fights against McGregor, Dustin Poirier earned $6,275,000.

Therefore, after three fights against Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier is 2-1 and $6 million richer. One can only imagine how much more it will be if the two face each other again in the future.
