Due to his fighting technique, Chandler, who is 37, has likely endured more hardship than most competitors. The 31-fight veteran is obviously hoping to beat McGregor and earn a huge payoff for himself and his family.
Since losing to Dustin Poirier by medical stoppage at UFC 264 in 2021, McGregor has not competed. In total, he has lost three of his previous four UFC fights, with his lone win coming in 2020 against Donald Cerrone.
After losing to Poirier at UFC 281 in November of last year, Chandler is also aiming to win again. After losing the fight for the vacant lightweight title at UFC 262, he wants to return to the title picture.
