Mike Tyson is arguably one of the sport’s most powerful punchers. The former world heavyweight champion and superstar boxer built a reputation for destroying his opponent. Mike Tyson pays Francis Ngannou a huge compliment before the Tyson Fury fight

Tyson is now training Francis Ngannou for the historic event. And while he is not Ngannou’s head coach, he has played a big role in helping the former UFC champion switch over to boxing. And with the completion of the fight camp, we take it back to what Mike Tyson said about Ngannou’s power.

Speaking on his podcast, Hotboxin with Mike Tyson, ‘Iron Mike’ said, “Not only does he have the power, you can only rate somebody by the people they hit. He hits very hard. As a matter of fact, I don’t think you can even ask them because they’re still knocked out.”

This comment from Mike Tyson shows how highly he rates Ngannou’s power. And it is no surprise given that Ngannou is famous for being the hardest-hitting UFC fighter. He has some of the best knockouts in UFC history. And if there is anyone to recognize real power, it has to be Mike Tyson.

So clearly ‘Iron Mike’ feels that Ngannou is more powerful than Tyson Fury. However, will that be enough? We have seen Fury dismantle Wilder despite getting knocked down. Only time will tell if Francis Ngannou can use his Mike Tyson-approved power to knock out Tyson Fury.

What do you make of these comments from ‘Iron Mike’ about Ngannou’s power? Do you think he has what it takes to do what Deontay Wilder and others couldn’t do?
