Mind game begins ahead of IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 clash, Butt targets India batting

On September 2, India and Pakistan will engage in a fiery confrontation in Asia Cup 2023.

Mind game has begun for the IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 clash. There will be at least two India vs Pakistan (IND vs PAK) matchups at the Asia Cup because Nepal is in Group A with India and Pakistan.

Salman Butt, a former captain of Pakistan, noted that, aside from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, India’s batting line-up is quite “brittle,” and if they were to lose these two batters early in the game, they would be under extreme strain.

“In addition to Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, they have young players who have played a lot of cricket but lack significant experience,” according to Butt’s statement on his YouTube channel.

“India has only triumphed in games when Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma played exceptionally well. When others are responsible, they have generally battled.” Butt added.

IND vs PAK: Advantage Pakistan?

Butt said that because Babar Azam’s team has a bigger core than India’s does, they will have the advantage.

“Babar, Rizwan, Fakhar, Shadab, Shaheen, and Haris Rauf are all from Pakistan. And Pakistan has, in my judgment, a much larger core group,” he added.

“Match-winners from India include Jadeja, Shami, Bumrah, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli.”

In a jab at the Indian Premier League (IPL), Butt stated that the Indian team will be under a lot of strain given the high level of expectations.

“And despite how much IPL they have played, India’s players lack the expertise of participating in such high-stakes matches because they haven’t played Pakistan in a long time for whatever reasons.”

“Chahe subah, dopahar, sham IPL khel le (no matter how much you play in the IPL), it does not bring the same pressure, which is during IND vs PAK match,” he claimed.
