Mike Tyson ‘Not Easily Impressed’ On Training Francis Ngannou For $8M Fight

Ngannou's legendary strength provides him a chance at the upset, Tyson added here that he has been impressed by Ngannou in their training thus far. Tyson is currently assisting Ngannou in getting ready for Fury.

The French-Cameroonian fighter is getting ready for his October match against Tyson Fury. In a recent video, the former UFC champion showed off his boxing prowess as he gets ready to make his professional debut.

He clearly seems to have a talent for it, as evidenced by Mike Tyson, the former undisputed heavyweight champion, who was very impressed.

Ngannou and his trainer were seen on camera making some shocking punches in the gym.

On October 28, a boxing bout between Ngannou and Fury is scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Many fans see the contest as nothing more than a cash grab from the former UFC heavyweight champion because it will be the fight with the highest financial reward of Ngannou’s career. Mike Tyson, a former heavyweight boxing champion, disagrees. On his Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson podcast, Tyson had told Ngannou that people underestimate him.

Mike Tyson recently shared the footage on X and praised the 36-year-old’s skills in the caption of the video “ I am not easily impressed, but Francis Ngannou knows how to box. This is what dedication looks like.”

While previously stating that Ngannou’s legendary strength provides him a chance at the upset, Tyson added here that he has been impressed by Ngannou in their training thus far. Tyson is currently assisting Ngannou in getting ready for Fury.

While “The Predator” still has his sights set on the upset and thinks Tyson is the one to help him pull it off, Tyson is now convinced that Ngannou can at least give a solid accounting of himself in the ring.
