Facing Behrendorff on his first delivery, Du Plessis tried to chip over the short mid-wicket to get off strike. However, the right-handed batter could only managed a weak shot as ball lobbed up towards the fielder Nehal Wadhera who could not time his jump to the perfection and dropped a dolly. Looking at the fielding effort, Rohit cried in anguish. Meanwhile, Du Plessis completed yet another fifty in the competition as he paced his innings to perfection and scored a half century in just 30 balls which included 5 fours and two sixes.
Not just Wadhera but Aussie all-rounder Cameron Green also dropped a sitter towards the later part of the innings to give a reprieve to veteran Dinesh Karthik. The wicket-keeper batter took full toll of the dropped catch as he went on to smash 30 runs in just 16 deliveries. Meanwhile, the five-time champions are chasing 200 runs to win against RCB in their home encounter.
