Lionel Messi’s new club Inter Miami plan to move to new stadium in 2025

Inter Miami Stadium: Inter Miami is in the headlines since Lionel Messi’s arrival at the club. The MLS club is not doing great in the league but they are planning to improve their system and infrastructure ahead of Messi’s entry.

The renowned Florida-based soccer franchise wants to give happy news to all its fans. Messi is the superstar of the game and the club wants him to offer a new stadium. The best part is the Argentine forward will be there to inaugurate the project.

Inter Miami’s current home ground is DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. The club is preparing to move to a new state-of-the-art facility known as Miami Freedom Park. The project has been approved and it will be a good move. This new stadium will also have the team’s new headquarter. The total cost of this development has been estimated at $1 billion.

Miami Freedom Park is located in the same city. It will provide a quality experience for spectators and visitors. This stadium will have a seating capacity of 25,000. Meanwhile, the stadium will be open for fans in 2025. This stadium will be surrounded by amenities expected to include 58 acres of public parks and green space, a hotel, a tech hub, dining, retail, community soccer fields, and more.

This whole project wasn’t planned in a hurry. Miami Freedom Park project underwent a crucial democratic process. This new stadium was put to a referendum last year and the result was in favour of the club with over 60% of the city showing support for the club. The stadium would also host a USL club on a permanent basis. Inter Miami got approval from Fort Lauderdale officials to begin demolition work on Lockhart Stadium and the adjacent Fort Lauderdale Stadium.
