While Greenwood’s future with the club remains uncertain, there is already talk about who might take the striker’s shirt number if the 21-year-old leaves. The Express reports that Brazilian star Antony is a leading contender. Notably, Antony has struggled since moving to Old Trafford last summer, with only three goals and no assists from 17 league matches.

Greenwood is contracted until 2025 but is still unable to play for United or train while the Red Devils carry out an internal probe.
While many inside the club want Greenwood’s return, the striker’s legal troubles have raised concerns amongst his teammates and sponsors. Manchester United’s women’s team reportedly doesn’t want him to return to the club, with some members of the men’s team sharing this sentiment.
Prior to his arrest, Greenwood was valued at around £50 million and considered one of Europe’s hottest young talents. His future now remains uncertain, with a potentially promising career at risk due to his legal troubles. But a move to AC Milan might provide Greenwood a new chance to re-establish himself as one of the best young talents.
