WHEN and WHY was Mason Greenwood ARRESTED? –
Mason Greenwood was granted bail earlier this year on February. But he was arrested last week on October 15 for failing to comply with his bail terms. The Greater Manchester Police apprehended the footballer for questioning after they found that he tried to contact the victim, Harriet Robson. That breached his bail terms. Following his arrest, October 17 was fixed as the date for his first appearance at the Greater Manchester Magistrates’ Court.
Ahead of his arrest, a statement from a Greater Manchester Police spokesman read: “Greater Manchester Police are aware of an allegation regarding a 21-year-old man breaching his bail conditions and an arrest has been made on Saturday 15 October 2022. Enquiries are ongoing at this time.”
Manchester United has already SUSPENDED Greenwood –
Mason Greenwood was already suspended by Man United earlier this year after assault charges were brought against the player. After his arrest last week, the club released a statement.
“Manchester United notes that criminal charges have been brought against Mason Greenwood by the Crown Prosecution Service. He remains suspended by the club, pending the outcome of the judicial process,” the statement read.
