India’s Manika Batra reached her career-high ranking of World No.31 in the latest ITTF world rankings. Manika gained three places after her recent performance in the WTT Champions at Frankfurt. She is the only Indian within the Top 50 in the World rankings.

Manika Batra made it to the Round of 16 for the first time in her career at the WTT Champions tournament last week. She lost in the round of 16 to Wang Yidi of China 3-0.
Earlier in the tournament she defeated Doo Hoi Kem of Hongkong in the round of 32 by 3-2. Her performances in the tournament helped her gain three places to reach her career-high ranking.
Meanwhile in the Mixed Doubles, Manika Batra and Sathiyan pair dropped down one place to World No.10.
Sharath Kamal enters Top 100 in World rankings
In the Men’s Singles, none of the Indians are within the Top 50 in the rankings. Harmeet Desai is the highest ranked Indian at 73rd spot. Manav Thakkar meanwhile finds himself at the 82nd position.
While Sathiyan is three places below that at 85, veteran Sharath Kamal made a comeback in the Top 100. He moves up three places and is now ranked exactly at World No.100.
