Manchester United are fighting hard for the top-four finish in the Premier League. They were supposed to get this easily but some poor results in the last couple of games added some drama. They are also in the semifinal of the FA Cup and quarterfinals of the Europa League.
Erik ten hag ended the title drought by winning the League Cup this season when they beat Newcastle United in the final. It was their first silverware since 2017.

Since the departure of Ronaldo, Man United invested in Wout Weghorst who was signed on loan in January. However, this deal didn’t work out as the player didn’t meet the calibre of the Portuguese star.
Ten Hag wants to change the forward line and he also ticked a few spots which needed to be updated during the summer transfer window.
He spoke to Sky Sports regarding this, “Everyone is different, obviously, but for a striker the main thing is to score goals by any method, that is so far ahead of anything else.”
“We need a striker who scores goals because we have ability in the team to put balls in the box, so we need a striker to finish”, Ten Hag added.
“We have to build a new future and we need a striker who not only scores goals but contributes by linking up play very well and pressing, which is very important.”
There is no doubt why Erik ten Hag will put his all energy to find best man to off-load the burden on current forwards. The scouts are also looking for the best options from Europe’s biggest leagues.
Manchester United went head-to-head against Sevilla in their last game in UEFA Europa League. The Red Devils played out a draw despite taking a 2-0 lead.
Erik ten Hag speaks about the game and said, “First it has to come out of the development of the team, so we are aware that when we are dominant in a game, we have to kill the game.”
“We didn’t do that and we let the opponent back in the tie. That was not good, it’s a bad habit we have to hammer out.”
United will now face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Sunday.
