Real Madrid has been having a bit of trouble with their right-back position for the last couple of seasons. The 5-time Champions League-winning Dani Carvajal has been struggling with long-term calf and muscle injuries.

The winger Lucas Vazquez has often chimed in as an impromptu left-back for Los Blancos throughout the last seasons. However, Real Madrid will be keen to find a long-term backup for the 30-year-old Spaniard. The reigning La Liga champions had shown their interest in Joao Cancelo too. Manchester City, nonetheless, is not looking to part ways with the ex-Juventus wing-back.

Meanwhile, Xavi will be looking forward to a defensive revamp. The Spanish reports have claimed the Blaugranas will be looking to get rid of their star-stud defense. The veterans like Jordi Alba and Sergi Roberto will be out of contract soon and the Barca board is not looking to extend their stay at Camp Nou. 23-year-old Diogo will fit right into their defense alongside Araujo and Jules Kounde.

Juventus will face a critical situation next year with both Juan Cuadrado and Alex Sandro going out of contract. Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri would like to bring the ex-AC Milan defender back to the Serie A.

The Portuguese defender back will be out of a contract with the Red Devils by next year. However, United will be looking to retain the right back as his role has risen under Ten Hag. The Red Devils are likely to make a contract extension offer after the Qatar World Cup.
