He is rumoured to have been working with Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan, as previously reported. Nevertheless, unlike the Glazers, the club would not be responsible for any debt incurred during the takeover. Ratcliffe, a supporter of Manchester United, also made an attempt to purchase Chelsea last summer. In the future, Ratcliffe might try to purchase the remaining shares, which are traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Notwithstanding the fact that Ratcliffe made no mention of infrastructure in his remarks, it appears that he is dedicated to redeveloping Old Trafford.

His business, the global petrochemicals corporation INEOS, has also been charged with “greenwashing,” or using sports to enhance their brand and reputation. In addition, Ratcliffe owns a third of the Mercedes Formula 1 team and the cycling team INEOS Grenadiers, as well as Nice of the Ligue 1 and FC Lausanne-Sport of the Swiss Super League.Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani of Qatar has attended United games at Old Trafford and other venues. He believes he has submitted a strong offer and that it is independent of Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) and the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA). The Glazer family is looking to sell all or part of their business or form a partnership with outside parties. Elliott owned AC Milan from 2018 to August of last year while managing £46 billion in assets.
