Manchester United: New Interim manager Ralf Rangnick to miss United’s crucial clash against Arsenal; Carrick to be in charge – On Monday it was announced that Manchester United will have a new Interim Manager in Ralf Rangnick who would take over from current caretaker boss Michael Carrick and manage the club until the end of the season. Following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United had many candidates in mind for the short-term managerial role and they finally got their man as the club officially stated that the German would coach the club.
But it now seems to be the case that Michael Carrick would have another game to manage under his belt, as Ralf Rangnick has not yet arrived in Manchester following the delay in work permit visa and COVID protocols keeping in mind the new Omicron variant.

Ralf Rangnick will miss Manchester United vs Arsenal:
The German coach who was announced as United’s new Interim Manager following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from the club is a major doubt for the match against United vs Arsenal. With the announcement made yesterday it seemed optimistic that Ralf Rangnick would be in charge of the game on 3rd December. But due to problems faced in sorting out his work permit and due to COVID Protocols may delay his debut.

Carrick to be in charge of Manchester United vs Arsenal:
This means Michael Carrick could be in charge of his 3rd game as a Man United manager in which he won 1 and drew 1. And with back-to-back Premier League games coming up it would seem that Michael Carrick could be in charge of the games against Arsenal and Crystal Palace too since United will have very little time post the Arsenal game.
