Later on in an interview Luke Shaw said that whatever the media has written about the manager is not true and suggests he sees a totally different side of the team with his manager from the inside. The claim according to Rob Dawson of ESPN:
Some Manchester United players on the training ground have jokingly likened assistant coach Chris Armas to fictional football coach Ted Lasso. The MUFC players are becoming frustrated with Rangnick’s methods with a section of the squad believing his training sessions are “old fashioned.”
Some Man United players have complained among themselves that Rangnick’s sessions are often based on 11 vs 11 work rather than dynamic drills they feel help to keep them sharp between games.
